Don't Miss the Tax Deadline--Make Your Contribution Online
Georgia taxpayers are eligible to deduct up to $2,000 per beneficiary from their 2007 Georgia State taxable income by contributing to the Path2College 529 Plan, established by the Georgia Higher Education Savings Plan. Contributions received by mail must be postmarked by April 15th to meet the tax deadline. Online and telephone contributions made prior to 4:00 p.m. (ET) on April 15th may also count towards the 2007 tax year.

Please carefully review your confirmation statements and quarterly statements upon receipt to insure the contribution year is correct. Contributions will automatically be credited as current year (2008) unless the account owner specifies prior year (2007) when making the contribution.

Account owners who made their contribution by the tax deadline and did not designate a specific contribution year, may do so by contacting the Path2College 529 Plan by phone or in writing, no later than December 31, 2008.
