Path2College 529 Plan

FAQ - e-Statements

Would you like to reduce paperwork and do something positive for the environment?  If so, you may want to consider signing up to receive your Path2College 529 Plan account statements electronically.  Below you will find frequently asked questions to help you decide if e-Statements are right for you.

What is the difference between electronically delivered statements and my current paper statements?
Because your electronic statements are in Portable Document Format (PDF), they will be identical to the paper versions you've been receiving.

When will my Account Statement be available for viewing?
Account Statements are typically available online 5 business days after the end of each calendar quarter (March, June, September, and December).

How will I know when my Account Statement is ready for viewing?
You will receive an automatic email notice when your Account Statement is available for viewing online.  Therefore, it is important that you keep your email address updated.

Is there any cost for electronic delivery of my Account Statements?
There is no charge for accepting delivery of your Account Statements online. The only costs you may incur are those that may be associated with the time you spend online to download your statements or the costs associated with printing your statements.

What if my email address changes?
You can change your email address at any time by accessing your Path2College 529 Plan savings account online and selecting "Add/Update E-Mail Address" or by contacting a customer representative at 1-877-424-4377.

Do I need special hardware or software to view my Account Statements?
You will need an Internet connection, along with a computer and operating system capable of receiving, accessing and displaying and either printing or storing the Account Statements received, and running a browser that supports the level of encryption employed by the Program's website. Currently, your electronic Account Statements will be delivered in the Portable Document Format (PDF). You must have Adobe Reader to access PDF files. You can learn more and download Adobe Reader directly from Adobe's web site, www.adobe.com.

How do I view my Account Statement?
The email notice you receive when an Account Statement becomes available will provide you with a link. Click on the link and enter your user name and password. If you experience a problem with the link, you can also copy and paste the URL (link) into the address line of your browser, then hit Enter.

For how long will my Account Statements be available for viewing online?
Each Account Statement will be viewable for 24 months after it is first made available. You can view, save and/or print an Account Statement anytime during this period. Because your ability to view, save and/or print your Account Statements depends on Internet access to the Program's website, there is the risk that a system outage could from time to time cause an Account Statement to become temporarily unavailable.

Can I print electronic statements?
You will have the ability to save and/or print any Account Statement that you view in order to keep them for your records.

Can I request a print copy of an Account Statement even if I have consented to electronic delivery?
Once you have signed up for electronic delivery of your Account Statements, you will no longer automatically receive print copies of your Statements through the mail. However, if you need to request a print copy, you can do so by accessing your  account online and selecting "Order a Statement for this Account" or by contacting a customer service representative at 1-877-424-4377.

How do I withdraw my consent to electronic delivery?
Your consent to electronic delivery of your Account Statements is valid unless and until you withdraw your consent. You can withdraw your consent at any time by changing your delivery preference by accessing your account online or by contacting a customer representative at 1-877-424-4377. Your consent or withdrawal of consent must be received by the end of the calendar quarter 4 p.m. Eastern Time.

How do I sign up for E-Statements?
If you'd like to enroll to receive your Account statements online, click here, log into your account, and click on "Change Account Statement Delivery".
